Where's the rest of the content?

As we pass our 4th birthday, we're closing in on a million posts (whoa!), covering nearly 10,000 topics, by over 5,000 members. Most of the content requires you to be logged in to read (here's why), but we're in the process of determining which categories to open to guest users. Registration is quick, though, and all you need is an email address, so why wait?

Why do you have to log in to see most of the content?

We all know that the internet isn't a safe space. But since members frequently post sensitive content, most of altdotlife is register-to-read. When you join the community, you, too, may bitch about your mother-in-law, boss, or next-door neighbor with google-proofed impunity. (Unless she's already found us. In which case, I guess she has dibs. But you're probably safe.)
